Do you want a quick return to your daily routine after plastic surgery?

Fast recovery through systemic PBM therapy

After plastic surgery, the surgical area will be bruised and swollen. Depending on the degree of surgery, it may take at least 10 to 30 days to return to normal, depending on the person. If this phenomenon does not recover quickly, it can lead to inflammation and side effects of plastic surgery. Apart from the technique of plastic surgery and the ability of the doctor who performed the surgery, rapid recovery after surgery varies greatly depending on the individual's constitution and follow-up management. Until now, there has been no special management method for rapid recovery after surgery. Anti-inflammatory painkillers, cold packs, and in some cases, local light irradiation were all post-care.

Failure to properly manage the bruises and swelling that appear naturally after surgery leads to side effects. Of the 214 cases of plastic surgery-related damage officially received by the Korea Consumer Agency over the past two years, 147 cases have been disclosed as side effects, but there will be more cases that have not been reported or disclosed.

There are side effects that are problematic in the operation itself, but there are many post-effects that can be prevented sufficiently depending on how you manage the recovery process. It is very important to ensure that plastic surgery does not lead to side effects due to poor follow-up management.

"Full-body PBM therapy" can be helpful for follow-up care after plastic surgery and quick return to daily life. In particular, in the case of plastic surgery in various areas, the bruise or swelling itself is quite large and deep, and it may last for a long time and leave a chronic scar. Now, with "full-body PBM therapy," you can minimize side effects and expect a quick recovery. To understand how systemic PBM therapy helps prevent side effects of plastic surgery, you first need to know the principles of PBM therapy. PBM therapy is "photobiomodulation therapy" in Korean.

Principle of mitochondrial action by light sources in a specific wavelength band

All tissue cells are damaged in the process of plastic surgery. These damaged tissue cells need to be recovered through regeneration, and depending on how quickly and well they recover, they can be divided into success and failure of plastic surgery. In order for damaged cells to regenerate and return to their original state, capillaries must be revived and broken nerve cells must be regenerated again. The core of this regeneration process is mitochondria. The cell regeneration mechanism of PBM therapy is to save damaged and broken capillaries, nerve cells, etc. and to play a good role in the mitochondria.

The principle of this therapy is a treatment mechanism listed as a major keyword for future treatments in the U.S. National Institutes of Health's Medical Academic Information Classification System (MeSH).

Through PBM therapy, light absorption is performed in the mitochondria, and capillaries are revived, and various neurotransmitters such as nitric oxide are activated in cells. This facilitates the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to each cell, making cell regeneration more active. Mitochondria are the nucleus of a cell. When a particular light source reaches the mitochondria, it encounters an enzyme called cytochrome oxidase (CCO), which produces a lot of Adenosine Triphosphate ATP. In short, when a specific light source is irradiated to tissue cells through PBM therapy, it has a great effect on cell regeneration. So it quickly recovers postoperative phenomena such as bruises and swelling on the skin.
