 ​Why Parkinson's disease is considered difficult to recover

In addition, a 2016 Parkinson's monkey model revealed that near-infrared rays have a neuroprotective effect, in which a visible red light (670 nm) optical fiber device was implanted in the brain and MPTP injections were administered for a week. In this treatment, the majority of monkeys had improved symptoms, and while red light (670 nm) was used in this study, near-infrared light (810 nm) was also used in other studies.  Usually, light sources penetrate transdermal fibers into the head in a straight line or span, but one study suggests that there is a remote nerve protection effect on the brain, which can lead to better PBM penetration.


These protocols have proven sufficient to restore the damaged brain to near normal levels. The common characteristics of Parkinson's disease are insomnia and chronic indigestion, and the first improvement with PBM therapy is chronic indigestion and chronic insomnia.
